Q. What sort of company is TrisStamps?
A. TrisStamps is a small and friendly stamp and postcard business based in Northampton, UK.  It is run by myself, Tristan Brittain.  We love to hear from our customers and we're always happy to try and help.  With over a decade of experience in the stamp trade we can offer real advice and information to our customers.  Please feel free to contact us (Click here for options on how to contact us).

Q. Are you a member of a trade association?
A. When you purchase from TrisStamps you can buy in the confidence that you are dealing with a company that can boast many years in the philatelic trade. You also have the additional confidence that we are a member of the Philatelic Traders Society and fully endorse their code of ethics.

Q. If I place an order, how long will it take to dispatch?
A. We aim to dispatch your order as soon as possible.  There’s no benefit to us in taking a long time and obviously the longer we take the less satisfied you, the customer, will be.  If TrisStamps is on the road the day you order, then there may be a small delay, however as a rule of thumb we aim to dispatch within 48 hours of an order being taken.

Q. Can I cancel an order I have placed?
A. If we have not processed an order then certainly!  Obviously if we have sent it out then the practicalities of the situation means that cancelling is not possible.

Q. Why don't I have a padlock on my browser during ordering?
A.  We don't use HTTPS on the main TrisStamps website because we have come up with an order system that does not need it.  Let me explain further.  When ordering you can select from 3 options.

Because we are not a monolithic business we can offer this more customer focused approach.

Q. I don't like ordering over the Internet but would like to buy some of your products?

Q. Why doesn't the stamp I want to order have an image?
A. We are relatively new to the Internet world, having previously traded for a long time by TeleSales and Stamp Fairs.  We have hundred of different stamps and its taking a little while to create all the images.  In time we hope to have a picture of every product we sell.  In the mean time, if you would like to see an image for a particular stamp then simply contact us giving the details of stamp(s) you wish to preview and we will scan in and email them to you.   Click here for options on how to contact us.

Q. What happens if I hit a problem during the ordering process or have any special requests?
A. Simple, contact us and we will sort it out.  As a company I like to feel we are very approachable, friendly and above all love to talk to our customers.

Q. What is your view on customer satisfaction?
A. The majority of our business is repeat business.  Customer satisfaction is paramount.  If you are not happy with the products or service you have received, I would urge you to contact us so that we can take any appropriate actions.

Q. Do you sell odd stamps from Commerative sets?
A. Although not listed on the site, we would be delighted to give a quote for odd values from Commerative sets. If you would like to email a list of your requirements, it will receive our immediate attention. Regretably we can only do this on used stamps at present.

Q. Why does your site include adverts?
A. We use the advertising to offset the cost of hosting this website. Without this, the cost would have to be passed to you through the cost of our products. This way someone else pays, therefore everyone's a winner!!
